At our agency every unit and department is saddled with various functions to ensure smooth running of the agency as we serve the public. 

Retirement

Prompt processing of retirement benefits within three (3) weeks of submission and immediate placement on pension payroll.

Death Screening

Carrying out verification/screening for retirees at least twice in a year to eliminate deceased pensioner from payroll.

System Auditing

Maintaining up-to-date comprehensive database for retirees/pensioners.

Record Management

Keeping proper service records of serving and retired staff by the secretariat of the Board to facilitate collection of information for administrative and management decision making process.

Boost Revenue

Exploring viable complementary independent revenue sources with a view to boosting accruable revenue.

Reimbursement

Paying reimbursement to Local Governments.

Counselling and Welfare

Providing counselling and welfare services to pensioner/retirees.

Investments

Giving special and general directions on investments of monies in the fund which are surplus to current needs.

Authorising Expenditures

Authorising expenditures considered necessary for efficient administration of the fund.
